this is captain america speaking. i hope you've all been staying fit and healthy and don't forget to exercise and work out everyday. remember, exercise first and then homework, for attaining a muscular physique is far more important than your academic success. may your biceps be as magnificent as mine one day! just stay off the ped's, kids. [i'm jk about the exercise first part. please don't show that to your parents.]

1. friday night.. concert?!
yes, that's right! this friday, we'll be heading off to the citizens business bank arena in ontario to see lots of various christian artists/bands perform. this year's winter jam 2012 features artists tobymac, red, newsong, sidewalkprophets, matthew west, and much more! please get to church no later than 4:45PM on friday! we will be leaving at 5pm so dont be late!! i usually would say something along the lines of "no man gets left behind" cause i'm a superhero and whatnot, but if you come later than 5, WE WILL LEAVE YOU BEHIND. **please bring five dollars and a permission slip**
2. sunday mornin'
rain is fallin' [almost]. it's going to be cold. basketball, anyone? :)
this week, there will be a mystery speaker for ce! oh my gosh, who could it be?! i dunno about you but im dying to know.. well, make sure you come this sunday to find out and satisfy your curiosity!
3. winter retreat
east valley is making history! according to the charts, the ladies are beating the gentlemen in numbers :O when was the last timethat happened.. but fret not, my fellow brothers, it is only by a small margin [one..] so make sure you guys register asap! and you too, girls! you don't want the guys to beat you, do you?! so everyone in the high school group should just go to this website and register right now :D http://efcchurches.org/wr/2012/registration/
4. high school musical - winter edition
so for our church's christmas program, we're supposed to do something as the high school group.. it's still somewhat early so i'm not exactly sure what we're doing. lemme rephrase that. i have no idea what we're doing. but, we are open to suggestions!! if you have any brilliant ideas of what we can perform for christmas [eg. song, skit, etc.], please respond to this email and/or contact justin! if all else fails, we'll just sing a song(s) together, kinda like a choir thing. if we are truly ambitious, we can even try a cappella! and if we're completely crazy and going out of our minds, we can add some choreography!! [i doubt it. you guys don't wanna see me dance.]
5. bible study
so like, google plus hangout bible studies are the new, hip thing to do so if you want to be cool, you should totally join us. yes, we're so cool. we be bible studying in the middle of the week. legit, dude, legit. all you gotta do is email derek and/or justin and they will HOOK YOU UP. [email justin for bonus points!]
well, that's about it. i sincerely hope that your week has been amazing so far and remember to do all your work for the glory of GOD. seniors, hang in there. we're almost there. don't procrastinate, kids. stay in school and don't do drugs.
