Hi everyone!

Welcome to EFC East Valley's HS blog. We are glad that you have found our site. We will try to update this as much as possible to update you on the happenings of our HS fellowship. Anyway, here is our mission statement for our group:

EV High School Fellowship exists to build a strong community of believers who are growing in their faith through the teaching of Scripture to equip and train them to reach out to their friends and community around them who do not yet have a relationship with Jesus and glorify God in all that they are.

Our key verse comes from Matthew 22:36-40: "Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law? "Jesus replied: "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hand on these two commandments."

hello children.
okay, i don't have time to write a bunch so here are the headlines.
1. friday night
the mighty and majestic wynnford kong will be teaching/leading our night of fellowship. how cool is that.  can you just imagine the sheer epicness.  

2. sunday schoo'
the wonderful and friendly church alligator will be leading this celebratory time in which we honor and salute the fellow high schoolers that were born in the month of march and/or april.  we'll also do activities and stuff.  btw, there will NOT be a high school lunchout that afternoon because some people don't know how to reply to emails.

3. BREAKING NEWS
RELIENT K JUST RELEASED THEIR NEW SINGLE FROM THEIR NEW ALBUM THIS SUNDAY AHHHHHHH THANK THE LAWD SWEET JESUS HALLELUJAHH

Friday, April 19- Saturday, April 20
30 HOUR FAMINE! Thats right! again, if you'd like to participate, please tell Mel ASAP whether or not you will be joining us in the event! THANK YOU!
1. If you'd like to fast with us, start the fast by yourself after lunch-1pm this Friday. We'll be fasting together for 30 hours until 7pm on Saturday.
2. There will be FNF on Friday whether you are participating in 30 hour famine or not
3. The theme this year is going to be.... THE HUNGER GAMES!!! WHEEEE. everyone. be excited.
 Come join us Friday night at 7pm for dinner (PSYCHE. YA'LL CANT EAT.) and for worship and a short message at 7:45pm by our very own JIMMY LIU followed by discussion questions with our fellowship group! 
After FNF, those of you staying for 30 hour famine will get to fellowship even longer + have a sleepover at church! attached below will be the permission slip for this event. 

Sunday, April 21
Brian will be continuing where Joe left off last Sunday in our series of hermeneutics! SO COME AND BE READY TO LEARN :D



ALSOO, contrary to popular belief, there will NOT be a lunchout on April 28th, however, we will plan to have one soon! So make sure to be listening to upcoming notices on that!

WHY DID the banana walk out of the movie theatre?
-because the movie didnt apPEEL to it. HAHAHA appeal... appeel.. :D

OKAY OKAY ANOTHER ONE. Why did the farmer bury his money?
-to make his soil rich!! 
arent these just great? laffy taffy jokes FTW. 

okay, i'm done. HAVE A GREAT REST OF THE WEEK! hang in there! school is ALMOST OVER! bad thing because AP tests are soon.. 3 WEEKS YIKES. but hey. keep pressing onward and just keep swimming!!!! :D wait..

hello, beautiful people!
i hope you guys are all having wonderful, and lazy spring breaks like i am.  take it easy, don't study that hard. it's a break!  have fun and go play with bunnies or something.

here are this week's announcements!
1. friday night fellowship

this is no ordinary fnf.  it is goodfnf.  so good that we will worship God at 8pm and listen to a sermon with our taiwanese brothers and sisters.  please come and let us remember and honor the death of Jesus as a congregation.

uurrr: resurrection sunday
this is no ordinary sunday.  it is resurrectionysunday.  we will be serving a light breakfast and the newlywed minister joe will be leading a time of sharing and reflection.  [yes, this will take the place of ce]

san: 30 hour famine
this is no ordinary famine.  it's a 30 hour one.  and it's coming up in several weeks!  
the famine will start on the afternoon of the 19th of april so mark them calendars.


please pray for seniors to have holy and christ-like attitudes as they ponder over some of the most frustrating, yet pivotal decisions of their early academic career [colleges!!]

it's almost break, hang in there, guys :)
