Hi everyone!

Welcome to EFC East Valley's HS blog. We are glad that you have found our site. We will try to update this as much as possible to update you on the happenings of our HS fellowship. Anyway, here is our mission statement for our group:

EV High School Fellowship exists to build a strong community of believers who are growing in their faith through the teaching of Scripture to equip and train them to reach out to their friends and community around them who do not yet have a relationship with Jesus and glorify God in all that they are.

Our key verse comes from Matthew 22:36-40: "Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law? "Jesus replied: "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hand on these two commandments."

gotta get down on thursday

hello friends!
sorry for sending this late but i hope you guys are enjoying your short weeks :)  
here are this week's announcements..

1. friday night fellowship
wynnford will be leading this night and sharing a testimony of his new life as a married man!  sounds like fun :D

2. sunday ce
is non-existent this week as there will be a joint service at 10am!  y'all should sit next to your parents

3. core meeting
core people unite!  there will be a meeting this sunday after service.  BE THERE

4. operation christmas child
our annual op.xmas.child has begun!  shoebox collection will commence this week and we will be packing some boxes on friday.  if you would like to donate something, here's a link with more information of how you can contribute http://www.samaritanspurse.org/index.php/OCC/Pack_A_Shoe_Box/
**if you would like to volunteer, the occ processing center will be open from december 8th @ 5pm-10pm.  there will only be 20 spots and it's first-come, first-serve!  if you're interested, fill out the attached form and contact cyndi hsia

5. thanksgiving potluck
turkey day is in a week :D  there will be a POTLUCK on the following day [black friday] so if you guys have leftovers, please bring them on friday night and we shall feast together!  invite some friends!!!

6. christmas joint program
turns out we will be presenting 2 songs with the college group for the christmas program.  if you have any other creative ideas of what we could do, please contact justin!!  

7. winter retreat
OUR TIME IS RUNNINNNGGG OUUTTTTT..  OUR TIME IS RUNNINGGG OUTT!!  ..to sign up for winter retreat 2012!  it will be an amazing experience :D  http://efcchurches.org/wr/2012/

8. OUR NEW HIGH SCHOOL COUNSELOR!!! :D
is yet to be found.  please continue to pray as we search for the best possible hs leader for our fellowship so we can finally end this horrible period of shepherd-less transition.
