in case you did not previously know, core tries to send out emails every wednesday from this address to inform you of exciting things that will be occurring shortly in a near vicinity! :D when the new core group is selected, you guys will be in charge of this! hooray! we hope you've been having a wonderful first or second week of school, free of sleepless nights and stressful activity. if you have not started yet, know the rest of us are terribly jealous and you shall receive your just desserts after labor day. :) here's what's going on these next few upcoming weeks:
Thursday the 10th, (tomorrow!!)
-CORE nominations are going on WOOT WOOT. if you didn't participate in this past Sunday's nominations, you can nominate yourself or others via email. please email Alli your nominations by this Thursday, Aug 30th.
Friday the 31st, (that's this upcoming friday)
-will be taught by Ted! (yea. i just called my dad "ted" LIKA BOSS. anyways. love you, daddy :D) join in for yet another insightful night of male v. female differences! remember, worship starts at 7:40, not 8:00 and dinner is usually served around 7:20 !
Sunday the 2nd
-will be taught by Steph! expect some intense (but also enjoyable and profound) inductive bible study :D I'm excited.
-we are in charge of lunch this sunday! we would like to ask for your aid in prepping tea and rice and serving lunch. we'll need about 3 or 4 people to help at 9am and about 8 to help after service to serve lunch. if you are available to arrive at church a little bit earlier than usual, please contact sammie (via Facebook, singingkau@gmail.com, 909-753-7180) so that we can make sure that we have enough volunteers :)

Friday, September 7th
-OMG SCAVENGER HUNT WHAAAAT?! we're going to be having a joint scavenger hunt with the junior highers off campus so please make sure to pick up a permission slip from derek, have your parents sign it, and bring it on the 7th.
