Hi everyone!

Welcome to EFC East Valley's HS blog. We are glad that you have found our site. We will try to update this as much as possible to update you on the happenings of our HS fellowship. Anyway, here is our mission statement for our group:

EV High School Fellowship exists to build a strong community of believers who are growing in their faith through the teaching of Scripture to equip and train them to reach out to their friends and community around them who do not yet have a relationship with Jesus and glorify God in all that they are.

Our key verse comes from Matthew 22:36-40: "Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law? "Jesus replied: "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hand on these two commandments."

whaddup, ma homie g skillet biscuit dawgs.
i have news for you. SO LISTEN!

1. christmas program rehearsal
this friday, december 14th, will be our first and only practice for our christmas flash mob medley.  m.joe has inforrmed me that other groups will also be using the chapel that night so realistically, we only have about 25 minutes in there.  that means everyone will have to be on their a-game and NOT fooling around!  we need to be as time efficient as possible or else we will just end up embarrassing ourselves on stage next friday.  and we wouldn't want that to happen now, would we.

2. sunday school
this sunday, ce will be taught by our very own youth minister, joe lin!  this is a chance for us to get to know him better so there will be a time where we will be able to ask him questions!  make sure everyone shows up and asks him difficult personal questions :)

3. apocalypse now
friday, december 21st, 2012 is the end of the world!!  time to get crackin' on that bucket list, eh?
haha anyways, our christmas program is going to be on this day!  potluck is at 6:30pm and program starts at 7:30

4. christmas party
in two sundays, we will have a high school christmas party :D  expect fun fellowship, games, and food!

5. winter retreat
is in TWO WEEKS!  who's pumped up?!   scholarships are still available for those who need it

6. prayer requests
please keep the following people in your prayers:
-arizona missions team: joe, steph, alex, linda, brian, and daniel.  please pray that god would guide them through this mission experience and that they would be good ambassadors for christ!
-high schoolers:  we need a counselor :(


we're almost there, guys, just got one more week left and we'll be DONE!
