Hi everyone!

Welcome to EFC East Valley's HS blog. We are glad that you have found our site. We will try to update this as much as possible to update you on the happenings of our HS fellowship. Anyway, here is our mission statement for our group:

EV High School Fellowship exists to build a strong community of believers who are growing in their faith through the teaching of Scripture to equip and train them to reach out to their friends and community around them who do not yet have a relationship with Jesus and glorify God in all that they are.

Our key verse comes from Matthew 22:36-40: "Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law? "Jesus replied: "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hand on these two commandments."

cookies

ahoy mateys!
here be the announcements for this week.

1. this friday
- tif or ted will be leading a short bible lesson this week and core will be setting up some games,food, and worship for us.  pretty 'lax night :)

2. this sunday
-JIMMY will be teaching us once again!  if you guys were not here last friday, you missed out on some mind-blowing, awesome stuff.  so try to come this week!  OR ELSEEE!
-we will be meeting back in the high school room

3. on the radar
-hallelujah night is coming up in three weeks.  friday, october 26th is the decor day so save the date!
-there could potentially be a HS lunchout on the 28th of october!

4. bible study
-will be held weekly in the realms of the worldwideweb [google+]!  we are currently going through the book of colossians so contact justin and/or derek to join the awesomeness!

5. winter retreat
-SIGN UP FOR WINTER RETREAT 2012!!!!!! lives have been changed here!  hearts have been transformed!  i promise it will be worth it!
