Welcome!!!

Hi everyone!

Welcome to EFC East Valley's HS blog. We are glad that you have found our site. We will try to update this as much as possible to update you on the happenings of our HS fellowship. Anyway, here is our mission statement for our group:

EV High School Fellowship exists to build a strong community of believers who are growing in their faith through the teaching of Scripture to equip and train them to reach out to their friends and community around them who do not yet have a relationship with Jesus and glorify God in all that they are.

Our key verse comes from Matthew 22:36-40: "Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law? "Jesus replied: "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hand on these two commandments."

We hope that you will continue to drop by our blog and come join us on Fridays and Sundays!

Happy Thanksgiving! Some crazy things going on this weekend..

Hi everyone!

WELCOME TO THANKSGIVING BREAK!!  yippeee!  I hope you all enjoy the time off to fellowship and grub really good with your loved ones.  I for one, am SUPER thankful for each and every one of you.  You all bring something wonderful and unique to the group and it has been such a joy to see how God is working in your life.

In addition to all the love I want to give you :), I also want to let you know of some stuff going on this weekend.  It's a lot so pay attention :)

Thursday: 10am, Turkey Bowl flag football at Suzanne Park
.  Please bring gear to work out in, but also to stay warm, a water bottle, and if you have it, a red or blue t-shirt so we can tell what team you're on.  If you don't have red or blue, feel free to wear white and we can tag you somehow :)

Friday: 7pm, Church Potluck.
Please bring some YUMMY food to share with our fellowship!  And as much as we all love cookies and ice cream, it doesn't make for a great dinner.  So yep, we encourage REAL food :)  Our very own Sunroot will be sharing a short Thanksgiving message.

Saturday: 5pm-9pm, Operation Christmas Child Processing Center.
There are still some spots left, so if you'd like to participate, PLEASE EMAIL CYNDI HSIA (ch91789@hotmail.com).  It can count towards high school volunteer hours.  I've attached a permission slip if you'd like to go.  You must be over 13 years old (I think you all are) and bring the permission slip.

Sunday: Sunroot will be continuing our series on Joseph.

If you guys have any questions about any of the above events, let me know and hopefully I can help you.  Have a wonderful Turkey Day with your loved ones! :)  Gravy, gravy, gravy!

Love
alli
