Here are the notes from our lesson:
- The problem with knowing God’s will is not God’s unwillingness to speak; the problem is our unwillingness to follow through.
- God does not give us direction for consideration.
- God gives direction for participation.
- Surrender to the known will of God paves the way to discovery of the unknown will of God.
- Broken people have a very east time discerning God’s will.
- God is more interested in your discovering Him that His will.
- Your prayer life is at an all-time high when you’re making a decision.
- In the process of trying to know His will, we get to know Him.
- God created communication. That makes Him the greatest communicator.
- God wants you to know His will even more than you want to know it.
the goal of this lesson is to create a clear distinction between desiring to follow God's will and desiring to benefit from His wisdom. God doesn't give advice; He gives direction. But He only gives it to hearts that are first surrendered to His lordship. If you're looking for opinions, ask your friends. If you're looking to give God control of your life, you're essentially guaranteed to find out His will in the process.
