We've just finished two studies: one on 2 Corinthians and the other on "Taking Your Campus for Christ". We hope that you have been challenged and encouraged by these series.
In 2 Corinthians we saw Paul's passion for the church in Corinth challenging them to really live as Christians. There were other "super apostles" who were putting him down and looking down on his ministry, but he took those comments and reminded the church that it wasn't about him, but about Christ. In fact, he knew that he was a nobody, but it was through Christ that he was doing what he was doing.
In our series on "Taking Your Campus for Christ", we were challenged to reach out to our friends who don't have a relationship with Christ yet. We were reminded that everyone is looking for something to fill their lives and that God wants to use us to impact their lives. We talked about knowing the Gospel message (we are sinners, we deserve to be punished for our sins, Christ died for us [that's the Good News!], all we need to do is believe in Christ, and the result of that is eternal life with Him) and being able to communicate that clearly with our friends. We talked about sharing our testimonies as a way to bridge the Gospel message with them. We also talked about how many times we don't experience God in a powerful way because we are too afraid to step out in faith. If we really want to see God do something amazing in our lives, we need to put ourselves in positions for God to show up in amazing ways. Next, we talked about being passionately in love with God. If we really are in love with Him, we would want to tell others about Him. We grow our relationship through spending time with Him in prayer and in His Word.
We hope that you all have friends who you are praying for and sharing your faith with. Encourage them to come out on Fridays and Sundays and don't give up! Remember that God wants to use you and will use you to impact their lives for His glory!
Welcome!!!

Welcome to EFC East Valley's HS blog. We are glad that you have found our site. We will try to update this as much as possible to update you on the happenings of our HS fellowship. Anyway, here is our mission statement for our group:
EV High School Fellowship exists to build a strong community of believers who are growing in their faith through the teaching of Scripture to equip and train them to reach out to their friends and community around them who do not yet have a relationship with Jesus and glorify God in all that they are.
Our key verse comes from Matthew 22:36-40: "Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law? "Jesus replied: "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hand on these two commandments."
We hope that you will continue to drop by our blog and come join us on Fridays and Sundays!
